‘Just because someone can make a flute, does not mean they are a flute maker. Money spent with someone who makes a living crafting fine instruments is both an investment in the talents of the maker, as well as an investment in the quality of your purchase.’ ~ Craig Noss
**I am not Native American, nor am I affiliated with any particular tribe or group.**
If you are seeking a Native Made item please search online as there are many talented Native Artists who have items for sale. The Native American community, as well as Native cultures around the world have inspired me to make these great flutes, thus the creation of FireFlutes.
I lived in Florida for over 20 years, and now reside in North Carolina. Originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I have always had an ear for music and found the flute to be the instrument to which I was drawn. I have been making flutes for many years now. Most of my flutes were made of bamboo until I happened upon the instructions and teachings to learn how to make the Native American Flute. I myself am not Native American therefore I will only sell my flutes as Native American Style as that is where I have drawn my inspiration. All credit due for the Native American flute goes to the Original People of this great Nation.
I have also ventured into making transverse (side-blown) flutes of various tunings. My exotic scales have a very Middle Eastern and Oriental sound to them, probably due also to my fascination with ancient Egypt and the Chinese culture. In the works I have Minor scales as well as Major scale flutes…my favorite being the Irish Low D. If you find a tuning that you would like reproduced please contact me and we can see if it will be possible to create! Please feel free to explore my site.
Prices vary on my Native American Style flutes. I try to keep them affordable for everyone so my pricing has a large range.
